Hey there everyone!! Great pics of this years' events. I wish I would have been there. I was hoping to get moved back to the Akeley area by now, but unfortunately I don't see it happening anytime real soon. :(
I'm sure Audrey is so proud of all of her friends and family (especially Shannah and Nib) for helping other cancer patients. Be proud of what all of you have accomplished. With any luck, I'll be there to help out for next years' events.
I love you all, and will think of all of you while I'm on the beach drinking margarita's and sweating my ass off in February. I still have an extra bedroom for anyone who wants to come visit! Take care everyone!

To answer a couple of questions posted:
To order sweatshirts, contact Shannah at 218-252-2991. We will only be placing one more order this year and it will go in on March 1st. All orders must be pre-paid.
The button drawing winners are not being posted this year because we did not keep a list of all the names. It was not necessary since we had contact information for each button sold. Last year, we only had numbers posted, not the prizes that went with them. All of the prizes have been posted on our sponsors page since the donations were made so that everyone could check out what they could win. The only thing we don't have posted is the names of the winners. Sorry. Maybe next year:)

Once again, I want to say "THANK YOU SO MUCH" to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, donated and attended this year's event! Why Why Why are the winners not being posted.
Not only does it let everyone that wasn't there know who won it also lets anyone who visits the site know what GREAT prizes there are. This would I believe encourage more people to buy buttons!!!!
More button sales = More money donated....
Some people are not able to attend, but that doesn't mean that they are not interested....
Please reconsider....

I have a suggestion... is there any way you guys could put more info on the web site regarding how donations are spent? I saw the article on the
mattress donations and think that is a really great way to encourage donation! We all love to see how our donations are helping people...makes ya want to give more! Maybe you could add a spot on the site specifically for people who want to donate items or time to the cause? Are there currently any families in the area dealing with cancer that could use groceries. child care, help with housekeeping, things like that? Let us know!

It was hard to visit this website without weeping..We both share a common thread, losing one of our parents to cancer. I bet your Mom would be so proud of you, doing this to help and encourage others who are battling cancer...
