True for a Family

Dear Shanna, Randall, and EVERYONE apart of "Audrey's Purple Dream ".
Words cannot begin to express our gratitude for your gift of $800... I
wanted to take a moment and tell you how you blessed
us, and what transpired. PLEASE feel free to share
this with anyone who might be encouraged by it...
Shanna called me Wednesday, April 5th to tell me the good news.... that
we had been approved to receive $800..as you know,
this money was to be used to get my Step Dad's 12
year old son Joey from Florida to Nevis, Mn. to be
with his Father...! told Shanna that time was
becoming increasingly short, and by the very next
day the check was in the mail.. Randall was amazing,
and contacted us personally to try and facilitate.
By 1:00 p.m. on Thursday Joey was on a plane headed
for Mn. By Friday morning he was with his Dad in
Nevis.....
The look on Ken's face when I told him about Audrey's Purple Dream making
a way for Joey to be with him was beyond priceless.
It truly was an image I will never forget. It was
like throwing someone a lifeline. My Mom was on the
phone as soon as I told him, and for the entire
night the atmosphere in the house was changed. It
was like a literal air exchange. Sadness left for
the night, and Joy and Hope took its place..
Joey got to spend Easter with his Dad.. we had a blast.. we colored
Easter eggs and watched Ken's last hunting video.
Joey is truly the sweetest little boy I have ever
met. He was right by Ken's side the entire time, and
helped care for Ken in every way......
We laid Ken to rest today.....Ken passed away Tuesday...in the comfort
and care of those who loved him, in his
home....Joey got to spend 5 days with his Father,
that never would have happened if not for your
generosity and compassion...I will truly never
forget your efforts, and Ken's family, all of us,
are forever grateful..
Please enjoy this photo of Joey and Ken, and know you made a dream come
true for a family, and helped a little boy be with
his father in his final days...
